Dana’s Florida Getaways is a small collection of locally hosted vacation rentals near Wildwood and The Villages in Central Florida. What started as a way to create comfortable, welcoming places for travelers has grown into four very different stays, each designed for a different kind of visit.
We are located in the Coleman/Wildwood area, about 5–7 minutes from I-75 Exit 321 and roughly 10 minutes from Brownwood Paddock Square. Guests can enjoy convenient access to The Villages and surrounding communities while staying in a quieter setting away from the busiest areas.

A Small Local Hosting Business — Not a Large Property Company
I live locally and have been hosting guests in this part of Central Florida for more than four years. Over time, I have hosted couples, families, snowbirds, pet travelers, wedding guests, people visiting relatives in The Villages, travelers passing through on I-75, and guests coming to the area for longer stays.
Hosting those different kinds of trips has taught me that most guests are not simply looking for a place to sleep. They want to know whether parking will work, whether their dog will be comfortable, how far they are from the places they need to visit, where they can grab dinner, and whether someone nearby can help if a problem comes up.
That is why Dana’s Florida Getaways has become more than a collection of rental listings. The site also includes practical local guides, nearby attractions, restaurant ideas, guest information, and resources for planning a stay in the Coleman, Wildwood, The Villages, Bushnell, Lake Panasoffkee, and surrounding Central Florida area.

Suite Escape
A cozy tiny-home cottage for two with a king bed, full kitchen, private fenced courtyard, and a peaceful mini-farm setting.
Good fit for: couples, pet travelers, weekend getaways, romantic stays, and I-75 stopovers.
Hidden Gem
A private guest suite with a king bed, full kitchen, private entrance, and access to the same quiet mini-farm setting.
Good fit for: couples, solo travelers, longer visits, and pet travelers who do not need a fenced yard.
Cozy Corner Apartment
A colorful vintage studio with its own entrance and a completely private fenced yard right beside the apartment.
Good fit for: pet travelers, couples, solo visitors, and shorter Central Florida stays.
Cozy Corner Mid-Century Home
A larger two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with two king bedrooms, full kitchen, screened porch, fenced yard, carport, and ramp.
Good fit for: families, two couples, snowbirds, longer stays, and guests traveling with pets.
The Mini-Farm Is Part of the Story
Suite Escape and Hidden Gem are located on our mini-farm property, while Cozy Corner Apartment and Cozy Corner Home are on the property next door. The animals, garden, grapes, landscaping projects, and other little improvements around the property are part of everyday life here.
Some guests enjoy the farm atmosphere simply because it feels different from a hotel or large vacation-rental development. When appropriate, guests staying next door may also be able to arrange a visit to see the mini-farm.
Why Stay Near The Villages Instead of Right in the Middle of It?
Many of our guests want convenient access to The Villages without staying directly inside the busiest shopping and entertainment areas. Coleman offers a quieter home base while keeping Brownwood, Wildwood, restaurants, shopping, medical visits, family visits, and area attractions within easy reach.
The location is also convenient for travelers using I-75, guests visiting Bushnell and nearby communities, snowbirds staying for longer periods, and people who want to explore a broader part of Central Florida rather than staying in one development for their entire trip.
