Dana’s Florida Getaways began with a simple goal — to create quiet, comfortable places where travelers could truly rest. What started as one small stay has slowly grown into a peaceful farm-style retreat designed for couples, snowbirds, traveling workers, and guests simply needing a calm place to land.
We have been married for over 25 years and raised and still raising a family of seven children. Hospitality here is not a business idea that appeared overnight — it grew naturally from a life centered around home, hard work, and creating welcoming spaces for others.
More Than a Stay — A Slower Way to Travel
Many of our guests are looking for something different from traditional hotels or crowded resort areas. They are passing through Florida, visiting family, working temporary assignments, attending weddings, relocating, or simply searching for a peaceful romantic getaway.
Here, mornings are quiet. Evenings feel slower. Guests often mention the simple comfort of hearing birds, seeing the gardens grow, or watching the gentle rhythm of farm life nearby.
This slower atmosphere is intentional. Every stay is thoughtfully prepared to feel calm, exceptionally clean, and genuinely welcoming.
Building a Living Farm & Food Forest
A long-term dream for this property is to continue developing a peaceful food forest and mini-farm environment. Over time, we are planting fruit trees, expanding gardens, and creating natural spaces that provide shade, beauty, and habitat for birds and pollinators.
Some guests choose to be part of this journey by sponsoring a tree or simply enjoying the evolving landscape during repeat visits. The goal is not to build something large or commercial — but something meaningful, sustainable, and quietly beautiful.
