Adding a Carambola Starfruit Tree to Our Food Forest ๐ฟ
Adding Carambola Starfruit Trees to Our Food Forests ๐ฟ
Today we added carambola starfruit trees to both of our food forests — one on each property.
We’ve been slowly building out these growing spaces over time, just adding fruit trees and plants as we go.
Nothing rushed… just planting a little at a time and letting it grow naturally.
Two Properties, Two Growing Spaces ๐ฟ
Since we have two properties, we’ve been working on both areas little by little.
It’s not anything complicated — just adding trees, learning as we go, and seeing what does well here in Central Florida.
Adding a starfruit tree to each space felt like a good step forward.
About Starfruit Trees in Florida ๐
Starfruit (also called carambola) grows really well in warm climates like Central Florida.
It’s known for its sweet-tart flavor and the unique star shape when sliced.
Once established, these trees can produce fruit regularly and sometimes even multiple times a year.
They do best with plenty of sun, regular watering, and a little protection from strong wind.
We’re looking forward to seeing how both of these grow over time.
What We’re Building Here ๐ณ
The idea behind all of this is pretty simple.
We’re slowly working toward creating a peaceful space where people can come, slow down, and enjoy being outside.
A place with animals, garden areas, and things growing — not perfect, but real.
Over time, we’d love for guests to be able to walk through, see what’s growing, and just enjoy a quieter kind of stay.

Stay With Us & Watch It Grow ๐ก
Guests already enjoy the garden areas, animals, and slower pace of the property.
This is just one more thing that will keep growing over time.
